32% More Hacked Websites

The number of hacked websites increased by 32% during 2016, according to Google

Google have recently published their “State of Website Security in 2016” report which shows a sharp increase in the number of hacked websites last year. The article, which should come as wakeup call to many website owners, also details a number of common hacks and how to resolve them.

The article warns that the number of hacked websites doesn’t appear to be slowing down as we enter 2017 – in reverse, we should expect to see this number increasing over the next year. Google’s report opens questions regarding the responsibility of website owners and web design agencies, who should be working together to keep sites secure.

Our experience has shown there are often misconceptions relating to website security and it is the responsibility of any web professional to ensure their client is well-informed and well-protected.

As such, we work hard to ensure our hosting infrastructure is as secure as humanly possible and offer clients multiple options for website security. If you’re interested in learning more about the website security services we offer then please get in touch.
